I agree, the carbon looks good - mine just turned into a shelf-queen.
I needed a racer to keep in the pitbox.

Hello Leute!

yesterday I received a package of rcmi ... my graphite sc-chassis for my shark
(Thanks to Cain )

There were no problems in assembling, all parts were fitting perfectly.

I will soon continue with the report when I have my second Mongoose
Of course i will report from the first test drive, but it will take a few days.

Here are many photos of the construction of the chassis.


Gestern traf ein Päckchen aus England bei mir ein …


Hier folgt nun der Bericht vom Umbau meines Shark's, auf ein langes SC-Chassis.
Als erstes versiegelte ich das Carbon-Chassis und das Carbon-Oberdeck mit Superkleber. Danach wurden die Differentialwannen auf die Chassisplatte montiert.
Weiter ging es mit dem montieren der Motorhaltung, diese besteht aus einem sehr schön blau, eloxierten Alu. Sie wird mittels drei Schrauben an dem Chassis befestigt.
Dann begann der Einbau der Diffs. und der Mittelkardanwelle.
Die Motorhalterung ist einfach genial, sie besteht aus zwei Teilen.
Den kleinen Teil kann man abnehmen, um die Kardanwelle problemlos hineinlegen zu können.

Nun wurde die komplette Vorderachse montiert.
Hier gibts es eigentlich nichts besonders zu beachten, außer die Schwingenbegrenzer. Es muss an den vorderen Schwingen die Ausfederungsbegrenzer etwas weggedremelt werden. Damit der Shark auch die gewohnte Federung erreicht.



Danach wurde die Hinterachse montiert, hier muss man die Schwingen nicht bearbeiten.





Als nächstes wurde die Anlenkung montiert. Hier muss umbedingt eine Beilagscheibe unter den Lenkpfosten montiert werden (die benötigten Scheiben liegen dem Kit bei).







Dann wurde das Oberdeck montiert. Hier gibt es nicht viel zu sagen.
Außer … es schaut wunderschön aus

















Zusätzlich wurden ALLE Schrauben gegen silberne Edelstahlschrauben (zölliger Imbus) getauscht.

Sehr beeindruckend Aufbau Ghost22.

Ich bin dafür, warum Sie immer noch die Legierung vor Dämpferbrücke und haben nicht mit CF, dass etwas weg als auch neugierig? Nichts falsch mit, aber die Legierung sieht jetzt so fehl am Platz und ein bisschen einsam.

Außerdem apppears dass Sie immer noch die Lager / Kit Federn, und haben nicht zu steifer diejenigen in den vorderen aktualisiert. Gibt es einen Grund?

Mit der flachen Carbon-Chassis, wie viel insgesamt Nachlaufwinkel vorderen Ende tut jetzt haben?

Wie viel Gewichtsverlust habe das Kit geben Sie über die Börse Chassis?

Also, was sind Ihre Wahl für electroncs?

Und wann dürfen wir Sie auf die Rennstrecke treffen und uns einen Bericht, mit allen Eindrücken, um die Auto-Handling - gut oder schlecht?

Sieht wieder einmal suppi aus, ehrlich wocher nimmst du nur so viel Geld. Hab zum Geburtstag einen gebrauchten XRAY T1 Evo2 bekommen für 100€ echt hammer. Bilder kommen, sobald er fertig is.

I have no carbon-shocktower on the front, because i broke two of them in one year
But i will buy some carbon-shocktowers from "Frogger". They are thicker.

I don't know the weight-difference between the carbon-chassis and the stock-chassis, but i'm sure the carbon is much lighter.

I will buy a second Novak Mongoose 10.5 T
Servo will be a Futaba S3155 and Lipo's are CS-electronics hardcase with 1900 mAh and 32 C.

Sorry but I really don't like these front-bumpers

The other shocktower option, if using the factory CF model, is to "double them up" or to use two (2).

Since you already have a 10.5 'Goose, maybe you should get a 13.5 so you have motor choice options available depending on the track.
The 13.5 is still blazingly fast.

Otherwise, your electronic choices appear they will work well.

Sorry you don't like bumpers.

I think i will take a second 10.5 T ... it is the best choise for "big" 1/18 tracks.

In addition, my own track, i will build in summer in front of our garage, is also more a speed track.

I personally think that the 10.5 is the best choice for this tracks.
I think a 8.5 could be also nice on the Rc-CarpetFun-track

Even Novak only recommends that motor for all-out speed runs in large parking lots.
Not much use for racing purposes.

Yes, that's true.

I know some people who drive a 8.5 on such tracks, but i think they have some temp. problems and it's really fast

Heute habe ich mein zweites Novak Mongoose bekommen
Natürlich habe ich es auch gleich in den Shark eingebaut, dabei die Kabel so weit es möglich war gekürzt.

Nun ist er Renn-bereit, mit sagenhaften 700 Gramm













Jetzt fehlen nur noch die Karosserien, ich hoffe sie kommen bald ...
Die benötigten Lacke sind auch heute eingetroffen

Nach dem gestern die schon erwartete Lieferung von Phat Bodies eingetroffen ist, habe ich heute die Buggy Karosserie (Phat Bodies LRP Shark SC Bolt) lackiert.

Nun das Ergebnis








Die Phat Bodies Banzai Mini Karosserie werde ich in den nächsten Tagen lackieren.

Sprich, bitte einfach den Aussendurchmesser der Schumacher-Räder hier für mich posten?

Hier sind die Aussendurchmesser ...

orig. Shark ST: 67 mm

Schumacher Rally: 65 mm

(jeweils an einen Reifen mit noch 100 % Profil gemessen)
